Easter at the White House

Ryan was a master egg roller; Connor devised his own method: hit the egg once with the spoon, and then pick it up and lob it across the finish line! He was quite ecstatic that his egg crossed the finish line first.
As we were leaving, each of the boys was given a bag filled with goodies, including a coloring book, Peeps (the highlight of the afternoon for both boys), and commemorative, wooden White House Easter Egg Roll eggs.Although we initially said we wouldn’t make Patrick camp out for tickets every year, it was just something we had to do once since we lived in the area, the boys and I, and Grandma, have already told him that he will have to camp out on the Elipse again next year – and he had better plan on getting there a little earlier. This year our entry time was 1:30, and it didn’t really allow as much time as we would have liked to participate in all of the activities on the lawn; 10:30 tickets would have been perfect! Anyone up for camping out for 24-hours next year?! I’m sure Patrick wouldn’t mind some company!
