MY THOUGHTS:
Mom asked me if I’d like to go to Vacation Bible School.
Hey! Who in their right mind would want to go to school during the vacation to study the Bible?
With those words, the illustrated children’s book Vacation Bible Snooze, part of the Tales From the Back Pew series from Zonderkidz, begins. With those words, my boys looked at one another and shrugged. It is a premise that just didn’t make sense to them. After all, they actually enjoy school AND they look forward to Vacation Bible School each and every summer.
Even so, the illustrations are hilarious and the story does move toward a more positive message as the little boy learns about the fun to be had at Vacation Bible School:
But best of all, Mom says at Vactaion Bible School
I’ll get to know my best friend (Jesus)… better!
I received this book from Zondervan in exchange for my honest review. The thoughts printed in this review are entirely my own.
