He left our home almost two years ago, expecting to be gone only a few months. He’s traveled from coast to coast: from Virginia to New Jersey to Washington to Colorado to California to Florida to Illinois to North Carolina back to Florida and on home to Virginia! He’s visited family and friends, watched ball games, played in ball games, toured a state capital and a zoo, sunned himself on the beach, hiked in the mountains, and played on playgrounds up and down the East Coast and well into the heart of America. And now, he’s HOME!
Flat Ryan has returned home with a host of special memories and some really great photos from the folks he visited, the people our Real Ryan most wanted to visit, but couldn’t! A special thanks to all of you who so graciously hosted Flat Ryan! I wish you ALL could have seen the smile on his 8-year-old little face this afternoon when we found Flat Ryan in the mailbox! Oh wait, you can!
When we removed Flat Ryan from his travel envelope and stood him next to the Real Ryan, we couldn’t believe how much the Real Ryan had grown. When Flat Ryan left home, he was just a tad TALLER than the Real Ryan (as a result of his larger-than-life head). And now…
Of course the best part of Flat Ryan’s homecoming was having the opportunity to share in a bit of Flat Ryan’s fun through the fantastic photographs his hosts had sent home with him! We thought we’d share a bit of that fun with you:
